Insurance and Payments

At Olson Optical, we are providers for most insurance companies and vision plans. In most cases, we are able to bill your insurance provider directly, thereby saving you time and out-of-pocket expenses. Additionally, if we are unable to bill your insurance provider directly, we will assist you in completing the necessary insurance forms and send them directly to your insurance provider for you.

We also accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards, including Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA)

The general procedure for reimbursement for these Insurance Providers is as follows:

1. Fill out an Out-Of-Network Reimbursement Form.
2. Include with the form an itemized receipt.
3. Mail, Fax, or Email the completed form to the corresponding vision insurance provider.

Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts

Many employers offer Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options to employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. Health Saving Accounts (HSA) typically are offered through a high deductible insurance plan. Both plans are designed to let you save money in an account to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often laser vision surgery. FSAs and HSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any vision insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.
